About MEG
Maria Elena is a retired USAF Aerospace and Operational Physiologist. During her 20 year career she taught thousands of aircrew members at all stages of their career and across weapon systems. Since retirement, Maria Elena has been an independent consultant focusing on fatigue risk management and has worked with various industries from autonomous vehicles to power generation and delivery. She is also an instructor at UNLV where she teaches Applied Sports Psychology in the Kinesiology Department. Maria’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Tulane University in New Orleans and a Master’s in Applied Psychology from Arizona State. She’s the mother of three children and three fur babies. In her “free” time, Maria Elena reads audiobooks voraciously, walks, hikes, and generally creates more work for herself.
